BMW Z4 production model is very good: with a long hat, inflate wheel arches, a long wheel base and narrow projection, the car offers a clear appearance. The two-seater BMW Motorsport engineers to provide a good basis for developing close-to-GT3 race car production.
The biggest difference between production and racing cars can be found under the hood: while the production version of the BMW Z4 is driven by six-cylinder engine, the GT3 car is powered by a 4.0-liter eight-cylinder engine similar to the units used in the BMW M3 GT2. This powerful heart produces more than 480 bhp. Characteristics of good performance and good torque curve makes the base machine production version of the BMW M3 was destined for use in the race.
Installation of the V8 engine has a great influence on the development of the BMW Z4 GT3. At first, the design-space tests were performed using CATIA V5 design software, in order to place the machine in an ideal position and meet racing specifications. The engineers then add all the other components.
When it comes to electronics, private teams can hope for BMW’s innovative solutions, which have been tried and tested in the BMW M3 GT2: Modern ECU408 took over management of the engine, while the Power400 electronic control unit is responsible for controlling all the actuators. The power is transmitted through a six-speed, sequential gearbox with a “Quick Shift” function.
Rims with central locking and security clips are also included in the shipment. In addition, the BMW Z4 also offers GT3 driver assistance systems like ABS and traction racing controls, which have been adopted from other cars racing on a range of customers, and then further developed and modified for use in a GT3 car.
Front axle of the BMW Z4 GT3 is a new design, which is based on a series of concepts. It is equipped with a stabilizer bar adapted pipe with a knife. Rear axle is designed as a longitudinal axis of the link, like the series version of the BMW Z4. Steel car bodies came from the BMW plant in Regensburg. A safety cell made of extremely rigid precision steel tubing and welded to the body. From the engine block V8 engine manufactured at the BMW foundry in Landshut. BMW Plant in Dingolfing contributed rear axle differential and drive shaft, among others.

During development, the BMW Motorsport engineers worked hand in hand in other areas with their colleagues from series production. This allows them to access the calculation of the field of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) when designing the car aerodynamically. In addition, tests are also conducted in the wind tunnel and on the test bench the BMW Group.
Front and rear wings, hats, roof, fenders and many other components made of reinforced plastic carbon fiber (CFRP). Using lightweight, torsion resistant materials contribute significantly to reduce the weight of the BMW Z4 GT3 to 1,200 pounds.
Like all BMW cars racing in the range customers, emphasis is put on efficiency costs when developing the BMW Z4 GT3. As a result, the car offers a very good cost / performance ratio of private teams and provide the opportunity to participate in the race reached the highest level.
Fersi BMW Z4 GT 3 is designed to be a new thing in the eyes AUTOBLITZ, to be enjoyed in the area of sport because it was developed by experts to be the BMW Z4 to be leading the GT3 motorsport enthusiasts. With the arrival of the BMW Z4 GT3 into a very new thing in motorsport to become leader.

BMW and Alpine 'Sinister Six' Car

A BMW 645 convertible, modified by Alpine and named Sinister Six. This car is equipped with 26-inch wheels, 7 monitors and four 12″ sub woofers and seven 4″ speakers.

The car started life as an $83,000 BMW 645Ci and was transformed into one of the most amazing demo vehicles ever! This car has made it's rounds to many different shows, so those that have had the pleasure of seeing it in person can attest to its sheer brilliance.

It's hard to choose just which aspect of this car is more amazing.... The motorized entry and exit? The LCD screen taillights? The fact that it has no steering wheel, just a steering knob? The 26x13 rear wheels? I could keep going. One thing the Alpine guys did people is that this car has one of the most expensive remote start systems ever.

Since the car was so new, no bypass module was available to integrate with the factory alarm system, so the team had relocate the factory ignition switch, leave a key in it, and the use a motorized actuator to remotely turn the key in order to start the car!!
